Merlin Diesel’s extensive Research and Development Programme within the field of EUI and HEUI has led to a surge of interest from technicians worldwide. The need for a qualified and skilled workforce is essential for garage and workshop productivity.

In response to this demand, Merlin have created a bespoke Test Equipment Showroom and Training Facility. This provides thorough tuition and understanding of the processes involved in effective, inspection, fault diagnosis, fault connection, re-calibration, and testing.

All courses integrate practical demonstrations alongside theory to ensure the trainees are equipped with high-quality skills to effectively identify faults and repair the relevant units in accordance with the course’s module completions.

We provide comprehensive tooling kits that cover complete disassembly and assembly processes for all modules in the prospectus. The kits contain tools for the following technologies:

Our Test Equipment

Merlin S4000 MK2

The Merlin S4000 MK2 is a fully automatic common rail injector test bench designed to test Bosch, Denso, Delphi, Siemens, and CAT/ Perkins injectors.

This bench can test solenoid valve and piezo injectors and can automatically measure and display delivered fuel quantity. The seal performance of injectors and delivery can be tested under different working conditions: Pre-injection, Idle, Mid-range, and Max fuel. The operator of the Merlin S4000 MK2 can add data and customer information, which can be viewed, saved, and printed.

The bench is equipped with original Bosch CP3 pump, rail, DRV and ZME. The injector test can examine injection and return volume under VL, TL, LL, VE and VE2 status, as well as offering atomization and sealing tests to ensure correct functioning.

Merlin S8000

The Merlin S8000 is a fully automatic common rail injector test bench designed to test Bosch (automotive and commercial), Denso, Delphi, Siemens, CAT/ Perkins, and John Deere injectors and fuel pumps.

It can test up to 6 solenoid valve injectors in succession, or 1 piezo injector at once, and can test the seal performance of injectors and delivery under different working conditions: Idle, Pre-injection, Mid-range, and Max fuel. The Merlin S8000 can automatically measure and display delivered fuel quantity, and the operator can add data and customer information, which can also be saved and printed.

The bench is equipped with original Bosch CP3.3 pump, rail, DRV and ZME, and can automatically test volume, pump transfer pressure, and ZME performance for Bosch, Delphi, Siemens, and Denso common rail pumps. The bench’s injector test has high-pressure cleaning, atomization, sealing checks, and return volume under VL, TL, LL, VE and VE2 status.

Merlin EM Series

The Merlin EM Series are a range of robust, steel-framed test stands designed for the calibration of traditional in-line pumps (Bosch, Simms, and Minimec) and mechanical/ rotary pumps (Bosch, Delphi, Stanadyne, Denso, and Zexel). Available with 20- or 30-bhp drives with 8- or 12-cylinder options, and all available with or without lube oil supply.

The Merlin EM Series operate via an integrated digital electronic metering on a 24” monitor with a Bluetooth-connected removable keyboard. The calibrating head is pivot-mounted for right- or left-hand operation and is height-adjustable.

The benches have forward-mounted potentiometer, drive and fuel controls, as well as an internal air and power supply to ensure water cooling. Also featured on the benches is: an electronic shot count; a smart wheels system; and a Linux operating system. All results from the EM Series benches are printable.

Bosch EPS 205

The automatic Bosch EPS 205 test bench can test common-rail diesel components, such as CRI piezo, solenoid valves CRi/ CRIN, and DHK/ UI nozzles, and get immediate and precise results. Pressure generation of up to 1,800 bar can be tested in a realistic operating state, with automatic cycling through each test point and simple menu of measurement results available.

There is a built-in database that features a user-friendly interface, which integrates vehicle data and test values. All test reports and values have the option to be printed.

The bench features an integrated suction device for minimal oil misting, making it easy to keep the workshop environment clean and comfortable for technicians. To find out more about the Bosch EPS 205, please click HERE.

Bosch DCI 700

The Bosch DCI 700 integrates a new measurement system that can test the latest common rail injector technologies for all car and commercial vehicle systems, including those with Needle Closing Control (NCC) and Valve Closing Control (VCC).

The DCI 700 allows for maximum efficiency within the testing process due to its short mounting and testing times, enabling four common rail injectors to be tested in less than 15 minutes.

The bench’s ergonomic tapered base design provides easier accessibility as it allows the operator to stand closer to the bench without having to bend to mount the injectors. To find out more about the Bosch DCI 700, please click HERE.

Hartridge Sabre CRi Master

The Sabre CRi Master is an advanced, compact, all-makes common rail injector tester, guaranteed to have accurate testing and injector clamping ability, with typically a duration of one minute per test step.

It also has high-flow output for optimum high and low pressure, in which a high-pressure upgrade kit is available, as well as the bench offering advanced temperature monitoring. The Sabre CRi Master also incorporates a Patented Closed-Loop power management. Additionally, there is a trolley available for mobility in the workshop. Hartridge Sabre CRi Expert

The Sabre CRi Expert is an advanced, compact, all-makes common rail injector tester that is a progressive extension of the Sabre platform, which is aiming to provide more workshop opportunities, on top of the capabilities of the Sabre CRi Master.

The bench can test pressure up to 2700 bar and has a high-flow output for heavy-duty CR testing. Also, the new Magmah^Touch software provides endless testing opportunities. Hartridge Toledo HEUi Master

The Hartridge Toledo HEUi Master is an advanced, compact, all-makes hydraulic/ electric unit injector tester that combines the trusted capabilities of the Sabre CRi Master, along with brand new features developed specially to offer comprehensive HEUi technology parc coverage. The new patented technology is user-friendly, with both simplistic and more advanced settings available throughout the testing process.
